Optimization of energy-saving performance and full life cycle assessment of building aluminum profiles

The broken bridge aluminum doors and windows use PA66 nylon insulation strips (thermal conductivity 0.3W/m · K) to block heat conduction, reducing the overall window K value to 1.8W/(m ² · K), which is 40% more energy-efficient than ordinary aluminum windows. Systematic design further explores energy-saving potential: Insulated glass adopts warm edge spacing strips (linear heat transfer coefficient ≤ 0.007W/m · K), combined with multi cavity profiles (cavity number ≥ 5), to achieve comprehensive performance improvement of the entire window. The life cycle assessment (LCA) shows that the total energy consumption of 6063-T5 aluminum profiles from raw material mining to recycling is 38MJ/kg, which is much lower than the 62MJ/kg of PVC profiles; And aluminum can be 100% closed-loop recycled, reducing energy consumption by 95% and carbon emissions by 90% per cycle.
